Ghana’s vehicle manufacturing company, the Kantanka Automobile Ltd, is set to commercially produce world-class cars of international standard after obtaining their official manufacturing license yesterday.
The company founded and headed by the multi-talented industrialist, Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo, would commence with a monthly production of 80 to 200 cars. The numbers are expected to increase in response to the market.
The Chief Operating Officer of the company, Kwadwo Safo Jnr, was thankful to God for the success and joyful that their efforts had paid off.
In a celebration mood he said “today is the happiest day in the history of Kantanka…finally…finally, we have our manufacturer’s licence. To God be the glory. The sky is the limit. All our sleepless nights and hard work has finally yielded positive results. Nyame ne hene [God is King].”
Ghanaians have also voiced their desire for the first gentleman of the land and the “buy made in Ghana” crusader, His Excellency John Dramani Mahamma, to direct government agencies to also patronise the vehicles.
