Science and technology is deep rooted in religious circles. Prophets and men of God had used technology to redeem the children of God (Society) from various difficult situations. For example Noah employed technology when he built the ship.
The ship (product of technology) was what Noah used to redeem the children of God from death.
Gen 6:14 -16: “ Build a boat for yourself out of good timber, make rooms in it and cover it with tar inside and outside. Make it 133 metres long, 22 metres wide, and 13 meters high. Make a roof for the boat and leave a space of 44 centimetres between the roof and the sides. Build it with three decks and put a door on the side.” – Good News Bible.
The ship built made use of carpentry, mensuration and other technological skills.
Furthermore, Joseph applied technology to preserve food for seven years of plenty harvest to seven years of famine. This saved the whole world from being wiped off with hunger and starvation – Genesis 41 and 42.
There are lots of technologies in the holy books. This page explores the link between religion and technology.
